The Role We’re looking for a confident and experienced Senior Optical Assistant who is passionate about patient care, enjoys supporting colleagues and can help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing a warm welcome and exceptional customer service to every patient.Dispensing spectacles and advising patients on suitable frames and lenses.Carrying out pre-screening and other clinical support duties, where trained.Supporting patients with spectacle collections, adjustments and repairs.Assisting with contact lens services and teaches, where trained.Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.Helping maintain high standards of patient care and practice presentation.Assisting with administrative duties and the smooth running of the practice.Taking a proactive approach to resolving patient queries and supporting the wider team. About You Previous optical experience is essential, ideally with experience in a senior or supervisory capacity.
You'll be an excellent communicator with strong dispensing knowledge, a professional approach and the confidence to support colleagues while delivering outstanding patient care. You'll enjoy taking responsibility, leading by example and helping create a positive team environment.
