About this role
A reputable Housing Provider in North London are keen to secure Supported Housing Officers to join their busy team that supports vulnerable people on a temporary - permanent basis.
Hours: 35 per week
Shifts: 8am – 20:00 / 12 – 20:00
1 in 6 weekends
Duration: 3 months temporary - Permanent
Salary: £18.40 (Umbrella) | £32,038 per annum – increases to £34,500 after 12 months
The role involves:
Working with vulnerable adults offering 94 supported bed spaces and short-term accommodation bed spacesInterview clients referred to the service and make an assessment on their suitability for acceptance to the hostel and induct them in line with scheme policyProvide advice to clients on housing, training and employment opportunities and other issues as requiredWork with clients to produce outcome focused support plans liaising with external agencies as appropriate to ensure ongoing support needs of clientsUtilise knowledge skills and experience to recognise difficult or challenging client situations and use appropriate communication skills to influence the client’s behaviourAssist clients in making claims for welfare benefits and for the collection of Housing Benefit and to deal promptly with rent arrearsMaintain accurate records including client files and data on admissions and departures from the serviceUndertake housing management tasks including reception duties, taking rent and ensuring a clean and safe physical environment Essential requirements:
