Control Systems Engineer – Process Automation I’m currently supporting an established engineering organisation looking to appoint a Control Systems Engineer to join its process automation team.
This opportunity would suit an engineer with a strong background in PLC / SCADA development and industrial automation, particularly someone with hands-on experience using Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and FactoryTalk View SE.
You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, from software design and development through testing, commissioning and final customer delivery.
Key responsibilities:
PLC software design, development and modificationHMI / SCADA developmentWorking with Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix / Studio 5000Development and configuration using FactoryTalk View SEDesign and implementation of process automation systemsFAT / SAT testing and commissioningTroubleshooting and optimisation of control systemsProducing technical specifications and project documentationSupporting installation and site commissioning activitiesWorking alongside project, electrical and wider engineering teamsProviding technical support throughout project delivery Experience required:
4+ years’ experience within Control Systems / Industrial AutomationProven experience delivering projects using Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogixExperience with FactoryTalk View SEPLC / HMI / SCADA software development experienceUnderstanding of process automation and industrial control systemsExperience across testing, FAT / SAT and commissioningAbility to work across the full project lifecycle Experience within sectors such as water, energy, manufacturing, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, oil & gas or other process-driven environments would be beneficial.
