Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Southend-on-Sea is seeking an ambitious Accounts Semi Senior to join its friendly and professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has gained experience within an accountancy practice and is looking to develop their career in a supportive environment with clear progression opportunities.
The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industries, assisting with the preparation of accounts and providing high-quality support to managers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companiesAssisting with the preparation of management accountsPreparing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignmentsSupporting clients with accounting queries and cloud-based software solutionsLiaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queriesAssisting senior team members with portfolio management and ad hoc projectsEnsuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines About You
Previous experience working within an accountancy practiceStudying AAT, ACA or ACCA, or qualified by experienceStrong accounts preparation skillsKnowledge of bookkeeping and VATExperience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or SageExcellent communication and organisational skillsA proactive approach and willingness to learn What's on Offer
