Job Title: General Laborer Solar Energy OperationsJob DescriptionThis role supports the operations and maintenance team at a large solar energy center by performing basic general labor duties. You will work on-site using basic hand tools to assist with ongoing operations and maintenance activities across a utility-scale solar project. Responsibilities • Perform general labor duties to support operations and maintenance activities at a solar energy site. • Use basic hand tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks. • Follow written and verbal directions from supervisors and team leads. • Arrive on time and work a full schedule as assigned. • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety. • Assist with routine operations and maintenance tasks across the solar facility as needed. Essential Skills • General construction background with hands-on labor experience. • Experience working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. • Ability to use basic hand tools safely and correctly. • Reliability in showing up on time and completing scheduled work. • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team. • Willingness to provide professional references as part of the hiring process. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in solar, construction, or similar outdoor labor environments. • Comfort working on large industrial or energy projects. • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety on active job sites. Work EnvironmentThis position is based on a 500 MW solar project where you will perform operations and maintenance tasks on site. You will work primarily Monday through Friday for approximately 4045 hours per week, with about 5 hours of overtime available and the potential for more as needed. The work takes place outdoors in the elements across a large solar facility, requiring appropriate attire for varying weather conditions and a readiness to work on an active industrial site using basic hand tools. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Charles City, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
