Job Title: Sanitation WorkerJob DescriptionThe Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe manufacturing environment. The primary duty of this position is to thoroughly clean, sanitize, and sterilize production machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Secondary responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the manufacturing floor, production areas, warehouses, break areas, and other facility spaces as assigned. Responsibilities • Clean, sanitize, and sterilize manufacturing machinery, production equipment, tools, and workstations according to established procedures. • Disassemble and reassemble equipment as necessary for deep cleaning and sanitization. • Use cleaning chemicals, sanitizing agents, pressure washers, and other sanitation equipment safely and effectively. • Perform routine inspections of machinery to ensure cleanliness and identify potential maintenance concerns. • Complete sanitation logs, cleaning records, and other required documentation accurately. • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company sanitation standards. • Ensure production equipment is ready for operation following scheduled cleaning activities. • Sweep, mop, scrub, and sanitize manufacturing floor areas. • Clean walls, drains, storage areas, loading docks, and other facility spaces. • Remove trash, recyclables, and production waste from designated areas. • Restock sanitation supplies and notify supervisors when inventory is low. • Assist with special cleaning projects during shutdowns, maintenance periods, or audits. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
