Warehouse Associate Job DescriptionWe are currently hiring Warehouse Associates for a large e-commerce distribution center in SE Calgary. Team members will be cross-trained across multiple departments in a fast-paced, automated warehouse environment. This role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work safely while handling products and operating material handling equipment (MHE).Successful candidates will receive on-site MHE training and may operate equipment such as power pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers. The position involves regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs, with team lifting required for heavier products. Responsibilities
• Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently throughout the shift. • Pick, pack, and move inventory using RF scanners and warehouse systems. • Lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis. • Maintain accuracy while performing repetitive warehouse tasks. • Follow all workplace safety policies and PPE requirements, including steel-toed footwear. • Support multiple warehouse departments through cross-training opportunities. • Work independently and collaboratively to meet daily productivity goals. Requirements
• Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks and heavy lifting. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Must be able to obtain and maintain MHE certification through company-provided training. • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn warehouse technology. Preferred Qualifications
• Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, or order picking experience. • Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems. • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is an asset. • Willingness to learn new equipment and work in different departments as needed. Work Environment & Schedule
• Clean, modern, automated warehouse environment. • 10-hour shifts, typically between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM. • 3 to 4 shifts per week with additional hours available during peak seasons. • Overtime opportunities available. • Schedule updates communicated electronically through company systems. Pay: $20/hr Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
