About this role
We’re looking for a qualified Management Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls and informed decision-making across Legal & General Affordable Homes.
You’ll play an important role in preparing management information, supporting month-end activities and partnering with colleagues across the business. This is an opportunity to build your experience in a collaborative environment where attention to detail, sound judgement and continuous improvement are valued.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting month-end close activities and preparing journals, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustmentsPreparing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analysisAnalysing financial performance and highlighting key variances, risks and opportunitiesSupporting budgeting, forecasting and wider business-planning activitiesMaintaining effective financial controls and following agreed governance and approval processesAssisting with statutory accounts, tax, VAT, regulatory and lender reporting requirementsPartnering with operational and development teams to provide clear financial guidance and respond to queriesSupporting internal and external audits while helping to document and improve financial processes and controlsWho we’re looking for:
A qualified accountant with an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualificationA strong understanding of financial and management accounting principlesExperience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliationsAdvanced Excel skills and the confidence to work with detailed financial informationStrong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skillsThe ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectivelyA collaborative approach with clear communication and effective stakeholder-management skillsExperience in housing, real estate, property development or asset management, or knowledge of an ERP system such as COINS, would be beneficialWhatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
