Winchester sits in one of the most commercially active parts of the South, with easy reach of Southampton and London. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants there is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Corporate Tax Manager.
You’d own a varied corporate portfolio, handling compliance and advisory work to a high standard and partnering with the partners on the more strategically significant assignments. The firm has a strong Hampshire reputation for its corporate tax work and an inclusive culture, with a route through to Senior Manager. What’s the day to day of the role:
Owning a corporate portfolio across both compliance and advisory workAdvising on corporation tax, group structures, reorganisations and planning mattersReviewing returns and computations drafted by junior staffActing as the trusted contact for clients across the portfolioBringing on junior members of the tax teamGetting involved in proposals and business development Required skills and qualifications:
CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified, with corporate tax experience built up in practiceAt least five years’ experience within a UK Practice environmentA track record of running a corporate portfolio across compliance and advisorySound technical grounding in UK corporation tax legislation and where it’s headingAble to explain complex matters plainly, with a commercial outlook Benefits:
