Role: Personal Injury Paralegal Contract: Remote, permanent, full time Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Location: United Kingdom (Remote)
CRA Consulting is currently recruiting for an established and growing Personal Injury team looking to appoint an experienced RTA Fee Earner on a fully remote basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Personal Injury professional who is comfortable managing their own caseload and wants the flexibility of working remotely while remaining part of a supportive and expanding team. You will handle a varied caseload of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims, covering both pre- and post-litigation matters, including non-portal claims, disputed liability and motorcycle claims.
The successful candidate will have genuine ownership of their files, managing claims from initial instruction through to settlement and, where required, litigation.
The Role You will manage your own caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury and RTA claims, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and clients receive a consistently high standard of service. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing a caseload of pre- and post-litigation RTA claimsHandling non-portal and Fast Track mattersDealing with disputed and denied liability claimsManaging motorcycle accident claimsTaking ownership of claims from initial instruction through to settlementAssessing liability, quantum and medical evidenceReviewing medical reports and assessing compensationPreparing schedules of special damagesAdvising clients throughout the claims processNegotiating with insurers, third parties and their representativesIdentifying matters requiring litigation and progressing proceedings accordinglyDrafting and issuing court proceedings where requiredCompleting Directions Questionnaires and complying with court orders and procedural deadlinesPreparing disclosure and evidential documentationDealing with telephone hearings and other hearings where necessaryInstructing Counsel, medical experts and other professionals where appropriateConducting relevant legal and case law researchMaintaining accurate and comprehensive case recordsWorking towards internal performance, quality and service standards About You We're looking for an experienced RTA / Personal Injury Fee Earner who is confident managing their own caseload and can work effectively with minimal supervision. Ideally, you will have:
Experience managing your own RTA caseloadExperience across both pre- and post-litigation claimsExperience handling non-portal mattersExperience dealing with disputed or denied liabilityA good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processStrong knowledge of quantum and medical evidenceExcellent negotiation and client management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisation and time managementThe ability to manage a busy caseload and competing deadlinesStrong attention to detail and file managementExperience using case management systems and Microsoft OfficeThe ability to work independently within a fully remote environmentA practical and solutions-focused approach A Solicitor or CILEX practitioner with relevant practising rights would be advantageous, although experienced Fee Earners without these qualifications will also be considered.
