Accountant Salary: Up to £55,000 Location: North Herts Working Pattern: 4 days in office
We’re working with a growing international business looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This is a broad role with exposure across cash management, financial reporting, working capital and month-end, alongside the opportunity to get involved in process improvement and automation across the wider finance function.
The Role
Managing day-to-day cash activity and monitoring balances across multiple entitiesSupporting cash flow and working capital reportingPreparing bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigating outstanding itemsManaging intercompany transactions, balances and settlementsSupporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end closePreparing journals and supporting schedulesProducing regular financial reporting and analysis for senior stakeholdersSupporting banking administration and maintaining appropriate financial controlsWorking closely with Accounts Receivable, Operations and wider finance teamsSupporting improvements to finance systems, processes and reportingGetting involved in automation projects to improve efficiency across the finance functionProviding information and support for internal and external auditsAssisting with ad hoc financial analysis and wider finance projects What we’re looking for Strong accounting experience within a commercial environmentExposure to cash management, banking, treasury or working capitalExperience within an international or multi-entity business would be beneficialStrong month-end, reconciliation and financial reporting experienceConfident working with stakeholders across the wider businessProcess improvement or finance automation experienceStrong Excel and analytical skillsAccounting qualification or relevant finance qualification preferred A great opportunity to join a growing international business in a varied role with plenty of exposure, ownership and scope to improve how things are done.
