Salary: Up to £45,000 Location: North Herts Working Pattern: 4 days in office
We’re working with a growing international business looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team.
This is a broad role with responsibility for monthly management accounts, reporting and core accounting activities across multiple entities. You’ll also manage members of the finance team and work closely with the Financial Controller on process improvements and wider finance projects.
The Role Producing monthly management accounts to agreed deadlinesPreparing month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliationsReviewing the general ledger and ensuring accurate financial informationInvestigating and reporting on variances against budgets and forecastsManaging and supporting members of the finance teamReviewing and processing supplier payment runsPreparing and submitting quarterly VAT returnsManaging fixed asset accounting and reportingSupporting cash flow forecasting and wider financial reportingWorking with external accountants and auditors during year-endSupporting international VAT and tax-related processesReviewing existing accounting processes, controls and proceduresIdentifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen financial operations About You Strong management accounting and month-end experienceActively studying ACCA or ACA is preferredExperience within an international or multi-entity environment would be beneficialStrong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, journals and financial controlsConfident working with stakeholders across the wider businessExperience improving finance processes and proceduresStrong Excel and analytical skills A great opportunity to join a growing international business in a broad Management Accountant position with team responsibility, international exposure and plenty of scope to improve processes and develop within the finance function.
