Salary: Up to £60,000 Location: North Herts Working Pattern: 4 days in office
An established business is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its finance function, providing analysis and insight to support financial planning and business performance.
This is a commercially focused role covering budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial modelling, alongside significant involvement in developing reporting systems and improving how financial data is used across the business. You’ll work with stakeholders across Finance, Operations and other business areas, helping turn financial and operational data into meaningful insight and supporting better decision-making.
The Role Analysing monthly financial performance, trends and key business metricsSupporting scenario modelling and longer-term financial planningAnalysing profitability, costs, capital expenditure and other commercial driversIdentifying financial risks and opportunities and communicating findings to stakeholdersSupporting the development and implementation of new planning and reporting systemsImproving budgeting, forecasting and reporting processesSupporting data migration, validation and testing as part of wider systems projectsSupporting cross-company and intercompany reporting and analysisIdentifying opportunities to automate reporting and reduce manual processesSupporting wider finance transformation and ad hoc commercial projects About You Experience within Financial Analysis, FP&A, Management Accounting or a similar commercially focused finance roleStrong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experienceConfident building and maintaining financial modelsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational dataAdvanced Excel skillsExperience with ERP, budgeting or financial planning systems would be beneficialSystems implementation or finance transformation exposure would be advantageousStrong communication skills and confidence working with finance and non-finance stakeholdersCommercial mindset with an interest in understanding the drivers behind business performance This is a strong opportunity for someone looking for a broad analytical role combining traditional FP&A with systems, reporting and finance transformation exposure.
