A successful independent estate agency in Southampton is looking for a Lettings Negotiator with some previous experience, to join its residential lettings team. This is a customer-focused role for someone with some previous knowledge of the lettings process and a genuine passion for property.

You will play an important role in generating new business, matching applicants with suitable properties and progressing lets through to completion, while delivering excellent customer service.
Candidates with previous lettings experience are preferred, although a more junior candidate with the right attitude and potential will also be considered. Valuation and listing experience would be advantageous, together with the confidence and professionalism to build strong relationships with landlords and tenants.

Registering applicants, understanding their requirements and matching them with suitable propertiesConducting property viewings and providing knowledgeable advice throughout the lettings processNegotiating offers and progressing agreed lets through to successful completionBuilding strong relationships with landlords, tenants and applicants to maximise business opportunitiesGenerating new lettings instructions and contributing towards the growth of market shareProviding a high level of customer service while maintaining accurate records and administration What our client is looking for (Skills & Experience):
Previous experience within residential lettings is preferredA good understanding of the residential lettings process, although training can be provided for a more junior candidatePrevious valuations and listing experience would be advantageousExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service skills with a professional telephone mannerAmbitious, self-motivated and keen to develop within the property industryWell presented, reliable and highly organised with a positive attitudeFull UK Driving Licence essential with own car preferred Is this the role for you?
