A CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Private Client Tax Senior Manager is sought by a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Exeter, to lead the delivery of complex compliance and advisory work across a varied client portfolio.
Exeter is one of the South West's fastest growing cities, and the firm has built a well respected private client practice within it, serving high net worth individuals, trusts and estates across a range of complexity. The role carries real strategic influence, with a structured pathway to partnership and the client base to make that a near term prospect. What's the day to day of the role:
Leading private client tax compliance and advisory delivery across a complex portfolioAdvising at senior level across income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts and estatesOverseeing the review of returns and compliance work prepared by managers and junior staffDriving business development through proposals, networking and growing the practiceBuilding senior client relationships and acting as trusted adviser to key stakeholdersLeading and developing the managers and junior members of the private client teamContributing to the strategic direction of the tax practice alongside senior leadership Required skills and qualifications:
CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with an exceptional private client tax background gained in practiceAt least six years' experience within a UK Practice environmentTrack record at manager or senior manager level on complex private client advisory workDeep technical knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, trusts and estatesConfidence to engage at board and partner level, with proven experience developing teamsCommercially driven, with a proactive approach to business development Benefits:
