Head of Corporate and Commercial
Annual Salary: DOELocation: Newport or PenarthJob Type: Full-time Our client is seeking a Head of Corporate and Commercial to drive commercial growth and enhance brand equity by developing and executing annual marketing plans. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to align marketing efforts with business goals, making it ideal for a leader who is both visionary and pragmatic.
Day-to-day of the role:
Shape the future direction and growth of the Corporate and Commercial Department by identifying new commercial opportunities and setting departmental targets.Supervise, mentor, and manage performance of Solicitors, Associates, and Support Staff.Personally manage a complex caseload of corporate matters including acquisitions, agreements, disposals, development projects, and commercial leases.Lead business development activities, manage key client relationships, and participate in networking to expand the firm’s portfolio.Ensure the department complies with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and internal procedures.Drive department profitability, billing, cash flow, and fee-earning targets.Collaborate with other departments to provide full-service solutions to clients.Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of transactional, corporate, and commercial documents on behalf of clients.Contribute to the smooth running of the partnership and effectively represent the Firm at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Admission to the Solicitors Roll with a minimum of 5 years PQE in your area of specialism.Demonstrated ability to achieve high levels of performance in carrying out general responsibilities and in key performance indicators.Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, decision-making, and leadership skills.Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with a range of people including clients, business associates, colleagues, and team members.Strong influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to balance competing needs and interests.Experience in leading a team, understanding the principles of delegation, and providing effective support including coaching and mentoring.
