I'm partnering with an ambitious, acquisitive group in Dudley to recruit a Financial Accountant into their central finance team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.
The business is growing through acquisition and this role sits right at the centre of it. You'll lead the accounting on new deals and help bring acquired businesses into the group, exposure that will set you up well for a Financial Controller path.
What you'll be doing Owning the group monthly consolidation and balance sheet reconciliationsLeading acquisition accounting, including purchase price allocations and fair value assessmentsSupporting the integration of acquired businesses into group processes and controlsActing as the FRS102 lead, assessing complex transactions and preparing technical papersProducing daily cash reporting and maintaining cash flow forecastsSupporting partner accounting, profit allocation and tax reporting informationWorking with auditors on statutory accounts and technical mattersDriving improvements in controls, reporting and finance processes What they're looking for ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally in a practice environment Strong, practical FRS102 knowledgeBalance sheet reconciliation experience in a multi entity or complex environmentCash flow reporting and forecasting experienceConfident explaining technical accounting to non finance colleaguesPartner accounting or partnership experience is a bonus, not essential The package Salary up to £60,000 plus benefitsHybrid working, two days a week in the Dudley officeDirect exposure to group level M&A activity
