We are working with a leading global financial institution to recruit a Vice President, Private Side Compliance Advisory for their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to step into a high-visibility role, providing advisory coverage across private-side businesses and gaining full exposure to investment banking activities within a growing international platform.
The Role As part of the Compliance Advisory team, you will act across both the banking and securities arms of the organization under a dual-hat arrangement. You'll be the primary point of contact for Corporate & Investment Banking teams and Transaction Banking, offering guidance on regulatory and conduct matters while building strong relationships across the business.
Key Responsibilities Provide compliance advisory support to private-side businesses, focusing on Corporate & Investment Banking.Offer advice on regulatory requirements and conduct matters.Support the implementation of key regulatory changes and contribute to local/global projects.Draft and update policies and procedures as needed.Deliver training sessions to front-office teams on compliance topics.Participate in investigations and inquiries when required. What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need:
At least 7 years of relevant compliance experience in a Front Office advisory role within investment banking.Strong knowledge of investment banking products (e.g., loans, structured finance) and applicable regulations (e.g., MiFID II, MAR).Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.A proactive approach with sound judgment and attention to detail.The ability to manage workloads effectively under pressure and tight deadlines. Qualifications A strong educational background with a university degree is essential for this position.
