An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Town Planner to join an established planning consultancy based in Shrewsbury. The company works across a diverse range of planning projects, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their expertise while contributing to a variety of residential, commercial and development-led schemes.
Requirements:
A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related disciplinePrevious experience within a planning consultancy or local authority is desirableWorking towards, or already holding, MRTPI chartershipGood knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy and proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage workloads effectively and work both independently and as part of a team Responsibilities:
Preparing and submitting planning applicationsUndertaking planning appraisals and providing planning advice to clientsSupporting the preparation of planning statements and reportsLiaising with local planning authorities, clients and other stakeholdersMonitoring planning policy and relevant legislative changesAssisting with a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Town Planner looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive consultancy environment.
