Field Service Engineer - Materials Handling
Field-Based | Wakefield Competitive Salary + Overtime + Company Vehicle The Opportunity We're currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting customers across the Wakefield & Doncaster regions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipmentDiagnose faults using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsComplete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts managementDeliver excellent customer service on-site, acting as a company ambassadorIdentify upsell opportunities and additional work where appropriateEnsure full health & safety compliance at all times About You We're looking for candidates with a strong engineering mindset and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds:
Automotive / Vehicle TechnicianHGV / Plant / Forklift EngineeringAgricultural or Military Engineering You'll also have:
Solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding skillsExperience working in a field-based or customer-facing roleThe ability to work independently and manage your own scheduleA full UK driving licence What's in It for You
