Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing operation in Dewsbury.
This is a varied, practical role with plenty of visibility across the site. You’ll spend time on the factory floor working with production teams, while also supporting audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, training and continuous improvement.
What will you be doing? Supporting risk assessments, SSOPs and safe working proceduresInvestigating incidents, identifying root causes and driving corrective actionsCarrying out audits, inspections and behavioural observationsManaging SHE actions, KPIs and improvement plansDelivering toolbox talks, inductions and SHE trainingSupporting contractor management and site complianceProviding practical H&S advice to employees and managementSupporting occupational health monitoring, including noise, air quality and HAVHelping implement wider Group SHE initiatives and projectsMonitoring environmental compliance and supporting permit requirementsWorking closely with production and management teams to improve safety performance The key to this role is being visible, approachable and willing to get involved. You’ll have the opportunity to influence people at all levels and help drive genuine improvements across the site.
What are we looking for? You’ll ideally have:
Experience within Health & Safety / SHE, preferably in manufacturingNEBOSH General Certificate or a willingness to achieve it within 12 monthsStrong communication skills and confidence delivering trainingA practical, proactive approach to workplace safetyGood attention to detail and organisational skillsThe confidence to challenge unsafe practices and influence change IEMA Foundation and IOSH membership would be advantageous.
