The Opportunity
A well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Hornchurch is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join its friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-based Bookkeeper looking to join a reputable firm with a diverse client portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a range of owner-managed businesses, delivering accurate bookkeeping services and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across various sectorsPreparing and submitting VAT returnsProcessing sales and purchase ledgersPerforming bank reconciliations and control account reconciliationsAssisting with management accounts preparationLiaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain informationMaintaining accurate financial records and ensuring deadlines are metSupporting the wider accounts team where required About You
Previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice is essentialStrong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principlesExperience preparing and submitting VAT returnsConfident using cloud-based accounting software, including Xero, Sage, and/or QuickBooksExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsStrong communication skills with a professional and client-focused approachAAT qualified or qualified by experience would be advantageous What's on Offer?
