Are you passionate about supporting secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Aspire People are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and compassionate Secondary SEN and SEMH Teachers to work in schools across Walthamstow.
Whether you have previous experience teaching students with SEN or SEMH needs or are looking to develop your experience in specialist education, we want to hear from you!
What we're looking for: A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs. Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach to teaching. The ability to build positive relationships and create a safe, inclusive classroom. Confidence in supporting students with emotional regulation, behaviour and learning needs. A commitment to helping every student achieve their potential. Experience working with SEN or SEMH students is preferred but not essential - the right attitude and passion are highly valued! The role: Delivering engaging and accessible lessons tailored to students' individual needs. Supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs in their academic, social and emotional development. Creating a positive and structured learning environment. Promoting positive behaviour, confidence and emotional wellbeing. Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, school staff and other professionals. Helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Requirements:
All candidates will need:
An Enhanced DBS check suitable for working in schools. Allergy and anaphylaxis awareness training. Safeguarding training. Two professional references.
Appropriate teaching qualifications and any applicable teaching registration requirements will need to be met for the specific role.
