About this role
An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join finance and regulatory reporting team within a leading foreign bank, providing a wide range of services to both private and corporate clients across the globe.
As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will besupporting accurate financial reporting and control processes, including month-end close, reporting, UAT and audit requirements.
This is a fixed term contract role (3 months) offering salary range of £450 - £550 per day and benefits.
You will be responsible for:
Assisting with the timely completion of month-end financial closePreparing and reviewing reconciliations, accruals and prepaymentsProcessing depreciation and other required accounting adjustmentsProducing daily financial accounts and reportsSupporting weekly financial reportingReviewing financial performance, movements and variancesInvestigating discrepancies and resolving financial reporting issuesTaking part in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a core banking system projectChecking financial reports, accounting entries and system-generated outputsSupporting the Financial Control function during testing and implementationProducing financial information, schedules and supporting documentation for auditors What we are looking for:
Strong experience of month-end processes and financial closePractical experience with reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and accounting adjustmentsExperience producing daily, weekly and/or monthly financial reportsStrong financial analysis and variance investigation experiencePrevious UAT or systems testing experience, ideally within finance or core banking systemsExperience supporting both internal and external auditsStrong Excel skillsBanking or financial services experience would be highly advantageous The candidates from the following background will be considered:
