Major Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and develop a positive relationship with assigned accounts through pro-active communication and providing timely and accurate informationCreate and maintain an effective department organizationPrepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the departmentBe responsible for compliance and quality issues for the ocean productEnsure that productivity and profitability goals for ocean department are metBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendorsProactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulationsBe open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department
5+ years of leadership experience in the Ocean Freight department of a freight forwarderAbility to define, develop and document business processes and proceduresEffective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to customers and employees at all levels.Professional oral and written communication skills in English and native languageNative speaker skills or fluency in German is a must
