JOB PURPOSE - To successfully executing the new projects, providing cost data for new offer and driving operational improvements of exiting sites.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Support with end-to-end technical guidance to all the sites.Start up and stabilization of new projectSupport all growth opportunities with assessing the job and providing cost data for commercial proposals.Driving specific improvement/efficiency projects (asset utilization, manpower efficiency, productivity enhancements,Improved overall asset maintenance and management of business KPIs on India asset management (OEE, Cost, SMU, people capability development, base work for TPM)Co-ordinate with global engineering and project management team for ensuring best practices/ business development support.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Execute new site start upsDrive operational improvement projects (productivity, OEE, efficiency)Lead innovation to develop new asset solutionsHandling Oracle ERP system functioning and BI monitoring reports for Plant & Equipment dept. for continuous improvementDrive continuous improvements in all the sites of Harsco India.Review and advise the Regional Ops Director on all aspects of the maintenance budget for the regionMonitor equipment effectiveness, availability and conditionEnsure all mobile assets, new and existing are in place and can be utilised fully and profitably as required in the local businesses.KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting to the Ops DirectorWorking closely with all site managers, asset managers and operations managersLiaise with procurement and commercial for estimation /bidding Essential
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/ metallurgical Engineering15 – 17 years of broad cross-functional experience in the metals industryWork experience in maintenance, operations, projectsPreferred
Advanced degree in related field and/or MBAIn depth knowledge of steel making processKnowledge of key metrics and their application for driving an efficient sitesAbility to work across a matrix organization, leveraging relationships that are not necessarily direct reportsPrevious Lean or Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experienceFluency in some of the important languages- English, Hindi and one regional language
