We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Principal Technician- Roads to join our infrastructure team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will oversee the technical aspects of road construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation projects. You will be responsible for ensuring quality standards, managing on-site operations, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects efficiently and safely. Oversee daily road construction and maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelinesConduct quality control inspections and testing of road materials, including asphalt, concrete, and aggregates, using appropriate testing equipmentAnalyze site conditions, survey data, and project requirements to develop technical solutions and recommendationsManage and coordinate with equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project executionMonitor compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and local traffic management requirementsPrepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including progress reports, material test results, and site inspection recordsIdentify and troubleshoot technical issues on-site and implement corrective actions promptlyCollaborate with project managers and engineers to optimize resource allocation and project schedulingEnsure proper maintenance and calibration of surveying and testing equipmentTrain and mentor junior technicians on best practices, safety procedures, and technical standards 8+ years of hands-on experience in road construction, maintenance, or rehabilitation projectsProven supervisory or lead technician experience managing on-site teams and operationsStrong knowledge of road construction materials, specifications, and quality standardsProficiency with surveying equipment, testing instruments, and CAD softwareExperience with project management tools and documentation systemsSolid understanding of traffic management, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirementsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detailDemonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team coordinationSafety certifications (such as OSHA or equivalent) requiredQuality management certifications (ISO 9001 or similar) preferredFamiliarity with local Bengaluru infrastructure standards and regulations preferred
