About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically-minded Senior Engineer - Marine to join our organization in Cairo, Egypt.
Perform high level technical quality works, to program and to budget and able to manage projects as requiredAttends client meetings as marine structural expert to discuss project requirements and maintain strong relationship with clientsLiaise with the client and subcontractors to ensure the design work is delivered on time and to budgetCoordinate with other discipline engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design processReview project standards and documents to assure the submitted drawings and documents are compatible and aligned with the overall project objectivesPeer review of consultant’s design package including technical report, drawings, calculations and specificationsPeer review contractors’ submittals such as material, construction methodologies, subcontractor prequalification documents and othersProvide technical support to construction supervision team University Degree in Marine / Structural / Civil Engineering10+ years of related work experience in marine engineeringStrong written and verbal communication skills in both English and ArabicExperience in project management, proposal preparation and client managementExperience in the planning and design of marine structures including blockwork quaywalls, sheet pile, diaphragm walls, jetties, marinas, scour protection systemsIn-depth knowledge of marine engineering design standards and guidelinesKnowledge of relevant marine structural design software such as Geo5, Staad ProProfessional proficiency in MS Office SuiteStrong proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools
