We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Design Engineer specializing in bridge and transportation infrastructure for our Bengaluru office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing bridge structures that meet safety standards and project specifications. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for complex transportation challenges while maintaining the highest standards of engineering excellence and efficiency.
Design and analyze bridge structures using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and MIDAS CivilDevelop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents in compliance with relevant design codes (IRC, IBC, AASHTO)Conduct structural analysis and modeling to ensure designs meet safety, durability, and performance requirementsCollaborate with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure seamless project executionEvaluate geotechnical and environmental factors to optimize bridge design solutionsPrepare technical reports, design calculations, and documentation for project reviews and approvalsParticipate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and address design-related issuesStay current with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in bridge engineeringSupport the development of project proposals and cost estimates based on design specificationsMentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team 3-7 years of professional experience in bridge design, structural engineering, or transportation infrastructure projectsProficiency with bridge design and analysis software including AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or MIDAS CivilStrong knowledge of design codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, and AASHTO guidelinesSolid understanding of structural analysis, material science (concrete and steel), and construction methodologiesExcellent technical drawing and CAD skills with the ability to produce detailed and accurate documentationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detailExperience with project management and coordination across multiple stakeholdersExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environmentsPreferred: Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and advanced structural analysis techniquesPreferred: Familiarity with transportation planning and infrastructure development projectsPreferred: Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green infrastructure solutions
