We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical P6 Planner - Transportation to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6, with a focus on transportation and logistics initiatives. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage complex transportation planning scenarios.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectivesPerform critical path analysis and identify scheduling risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation strategiesManage resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple transportation projectsCreate and update project baselines, tracking actual progress against planned schedulesGenerate detailed scheduling reports and dashboards for stakeholder communication and decision-makingAnalyze project data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for schedule optimizationCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and operational teams to gather scheduling requirements and constraintsEnsure compliance with project management methodologies and organizational scheduling standardsMonitor schedule performance and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelinesSupport project teams in resolving scheduling conflicts and resource constraintsMaintain documentation of scheduling assumptions, constraints, and change requests 5+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project management3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6 (advanced proficiency required)Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain project planningStrong knowledge of project scheduling methodologies and best practicesProficiency in critical path analysis and schedule risk assessmentAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysisExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience with stakeholder communication and reportingFamiliarity with project management tools and software (Microsoft Project or similar tools)Knowledge of transportation industry practices and logistics operations (preferred)Experience with schedule optimization and resource leveling (preferred)
