We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Steel Fixer to join our construction team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Steel Fixer, you will play a critical role in the structural integrity of our construction projects by accurately positioning and securing reinforcement steel according to engineering specifications and building codes. This position requires precision, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety excellence on dynamic construction sites.
Position and secure reinforcement steel bars and mesh in concrete formwork according to approved drawings and specificationsInterpret and analyze construction blueprints, structural plans, and technical documentation to ensure accurate steel placementTie and bind steel reinforcement using appropriate techniques and materials to maintain structural alignmentInspect steel placement for quality assurance and compliance with project specifications and UAE building codesOrganize and manage steel materials on-site, ensuring proper storage and accessibilityCollaborate with construction teams, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate steel fixing activitiesMaintain accurate records of completed work and material usageAdhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment and hazard awarenessIdentify and report potential safety hazards or structural concerns to supervisory personnelPerform quality checks to verify that all steel reinforcement meets design requirements before concrete pouring Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or in reinforcement steel work on construction projectsProficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsStrong knowledge of steel fixing techniques, tools, and equipmentFamiliarity with UAE construction codes, standards, and safety regulationsExcellent organizational and time management skillsPhysical capability to perform manual labor and work at heightsAttention to detail and ability to maintain quality standardsStrong safety awareness and commitment to accident preventionAbility to work effectively as part of a construction teamPreferred: Experience with CAD software or digital construction documentationPreferred: Background in high-rise or large-scale infrastructure projectsPreferred: Experience supervising or mentoring junior steel fixers
