Job Title: WelderJob DescriptionThis role focuses on precision pipe preparation and operation of an orbital welding machine to produce uniform, high-quality welds for cooling pipe systems used in data centers. While the position involves minimal manual welding, a solid understanding of welding processes and strong attention to detail are essential to ensure accurate cuts and consistent weld appearance. Responsibilities • Cut pipe to precise measurements according to specifications and project requirements. • Attach appropriate fittings to pipe sections in preparation for orbital welding. • Set up, operate, and monitor orbital welding equipment to complete welds on pipe assemblies. • Inspect cuts, fittings, and completed welds to ensure they are uniform, accurate, and meet quality standards. • Follow established welding procedures and process guidelines for stainless steel pipe. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production environment. • Collaborate with team members working on different phases of cooling pipe system fabrication for data centers. • Adhere to all safety protocols and use equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner. • Report any equipment issues, defects, or quality concerns promptly to ensure continuous improvement. Essential Skills • Practical understanding of welding processes, particularly as they apply to stainless steel pipe. • Ability to operate orbital welding machinery or similar automated welding equipment. • Strong attention to detail to ensure cuts, fittings, and welds are accurate and visually uniform. • Capability to read and follow measurements and basic fabrication instructions. • Commitment to following safety procedures in a production environment. • Ability to work effectively in a team setting within a fabrication or manufacturing facility. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Exposure to TIG welding, especially on stainless steel pipe, is a major plus. • Experience working in pipe fabrication, welding, or related industrial environments. • Comfort working with new technologies such as laser welding equipment. • Willingness to pursue additional certifications and training supported by the employer. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a clean, well-lit fabrication facility with approximately 2025 team members working on different phases of cooling pipe systems for data centers. There are multiple openings on each shift, with first shift running from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and second shift from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Work is performed around advanced welding technologies, including orbital and laser welding equipment, in a structured production environment that emphasizes safety, organization, and collaboration. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
