Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionAs a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for performing visual quality checks on finished glass products, maintaining a constant flow of product, and packing windows onto racks using proper glass handling techniques. You will also ensure packing specifications are followed, perform 5S and housekeeping standards, and fulfill assignments given by supervisors and team leaders. Training and encouraging others to achieve team goals is an essential part of this role. Adherence to company standards of business conduct and values and principles is expected. Responsibilities • Perform visual quality checks on finished glass products. • Identify, record, and communicate any problems relating to glass products or equipment failure. • Maintain a constant flow of product for the assigned area. • Pack windows onto racks using proper glass handling techniques and utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment. • Ensure packing specifications are followed for each unique part being packed. • Perform 5S and housekeeping standards and responsible for clean-up of work areas. • Fulfill assignments/tasks given by supervisors, team leaders, or group leaders. • Train and encourage others to achieve team goals. • Adhere to company standards of business conduct and its values and principles. • Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example. • Complete required paperwork and ASNs accurately and in a timely manner. • Ensure FIFO when putting material away. • Responsible for cycle counts on a weekly basis of materials and investigate cycle count discrepancies. • Responsible for shipments loaded properly according to customer demand and pick list. • Organize and maintain cleanliness of work area, rack organization, rack supply, and removing paper from totes. Essential Skills • Ability to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures based on weather conditions. • Willingness and ability to work a 12-hour shift and mandatory overtime when required. • Physical ability to sit, walk, push, stand, carry, lift, squat, kneel, and/or twist. • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior work experience in shipping, store room, receiving, and warehouse environment. • Experience with Microsoft Office is highly preferred. • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Knowledgeable in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and IATF requirements. • Current fork truck certification with NSG Group (will complete prior to operating). Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a very hot manufacturing setting that is not climate controlled, with two furnaces in the facility. Employees should be prepared to work in such conditions and follow all safety protocols. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Versailles, KY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
