About this role

Experian is looking for a team-oriented attorney to provide legal support for Experian's North American consumer services business, Experian Consumer Services, headquartered in Costa Mesa, California. You will report to the SVP, Head of Legal – Consumer Services in the North America Law Department.

What You'll Be Doing

Provide legal support for day-to-day operations of Experian Consumer Services (ECS), a $1.7B+ business serving 80M+ consumer membersAdvise on a broad range of legal matters across financial wellness, credit education, and identity protection productsAssess and interpret existing and emerging laws and regulations, including financial services, consumer protection, and data privacyConduct legal risk assessments and regulatory reviews for new products, features, and marketing initiativesSupport development and launch of innovative consumer products such as Experian Boost, Smart Money Digital Checking, Experian Go, and Insurance ServicesDraft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including strategic alliances, FinTech partnerships, and financial services contractsServe as a subject matter expert on the evolving legal and regulatory landscape impacting digital consumer financial servicesPartner closely with business leaders, general managers, and cross-functional teams to provide proactive, solution-oriented legal guidanceContribute to a high-impact team focused on delivering financial empowerment and innovation 5+ years of relevant legal experience in a large law firm and/or in-house settingExperience with financial services and FinTech regulations and/or transactionsThe highest standards and diligence in handling legal mattersExperience in handling matters for highly regulated industriesExperience developing practical strategies for complex business issuesJD degree and license to practice law in relevant jurisdictions Benefits/Perks:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. You will be also eligible for a variable pay opportunity.
