About this role
Candidate will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to maintain our receiving areas. Will receive shipments according to company policy, maintain clean and functionally organized warehouses, and perform ordering procedures as required by the company.
Essential Functions:
Receive all incoming materials for essential operations including but not limited to seed, fertilizer, chemicals, paper, pallets and other products and manufacturing componentsUtilize scanners and inventory systems to accurately receive, transfer and track materialsAssist with monthly cycle counts and verification of materialsMaintain a clean working environment by cleaning and organizing all components of the warehouses, and reporting any damages or needed repairs appropriately Stock non-inventoried items such as labels, office and cleaning supplies, and other supplies in collaboration with the Purchasing ManagerStage all materials for upcoming production for every shiftCommunicate professionally, accurately and timely to all internal and external customersWillingness to learn proper operations of the following equipment items; forklift, scissor-lift, box truck, and yard switcherAll other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma / GEDProven organizational skillsCustomer Service OrientedKnowledge of warehouse organization strategiesAttention to detail and conscientiousnessBasic knowledge of computer including MS Office use and data entryAbility to read, write, and comprehend in the English Language Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in an office and plant environment within a manufacturing/warehouse/shipping facility with a controlled climate in the office area, temperatures vary in the plant area. This position requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, kneeling and crawling.
Full Time Hourly PositionMonday through Friday (7am – 4pm) with flexibility to work early, late and weekend hours when needed Position starts at $24 per hour
