Salary: £55,000 - 61,000 per year
Requirements: Were looking for substantial hands-on Go expertise and strong professional backend development experience.You should have experience designing and consuming REST APIs and working with event-driven architectures.Were looking for familiarity with cloud platforms, ideally Azure, as well as Git, CI/CD and GitOps practices.You should be committed to clean, well-tested code and have experience working in Agile teams.Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to technical problem-solving are important.Experience with Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana or OpenTelemetry would be beneficial.Deep AI or LLM expertise isnt required. Responsibilities: Design, build and maintain backend services, primarily in Go, using Python where appropriate.Develop REST APIs, webhooks and event-driven integrations connecting internal systems and third-party platforms.Contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from design and testing to deployment and ongoing support.Participate in code reviews, improve reliability and performance, and produce clear technical documentation.Containerise and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes, with support from our wider team. Were hiring a Backend Developer to join our growing AI and automation team, building services and integrations across a complex enterprise environment. Youll work in a small, collaborative engineering team developing Go microservices on a modern, cloud-native Azure platform to connect enterprise systems, automate processes and deliver practical improvements across the organisation. The role is based in London, hybrid with two days a week on site, and is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension. The salary is up to £61,000 per annum.
