About this role

Salary: £40,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements: BPSS clearance is required.Strong proficiency in HTML.Expertise in current programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, optional Nunjucks, and Node.js (Express/Fastify), with experience using AWS and Azure cloud platforms and CI/CD.Proven ability to deliver thorough unit test coverage using common frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.Experience integrating with technical systems, including SQL or NoSQL databases, caching tools such as Redis, API microservices, and cloud-based infrastructure.A passion for clean, maintainable, secure software.Experience providing technical leadership to Agile project teams and delivering high-quality software solutions; ability to break designs into deliverable technical stories and communicate technical information clearly and confidently.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment and use creativity to solve complex challenges.Proven experience developing modern, responsive web applications.Experience working in Agile software delivery teams.Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.Understanding of frontend integration with backend services and APIs.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, developers, and stakeholders.Commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable, user-focused solutions. Responsibilities: Drive improvements through new system functionality and changes to supporting processes.Work with technical development experts to scope and design solutions that meet business and technical requirements while keeping user needs central.Collaborate with architects and designers on technical design, solution approaches, and user interfaces, with attention to accessibility standards.Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend features and functionality across web-based user interfaces.Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver accessible, responsive solutions aligned with design standards and best practices.Review and contribute to merge requests, promoting high coding standards, maintainability, and consistency.Work with backend developers to integrate frontend applications with shared services, APIs, and workflow management capabilities.Identify and resolve defects, performance issues, and usability concerns.Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, tooling, and team processes.Ensure solutions meet quality, accessibility, security, and performance requirements.
