Requirements: Significant experience in Enterprise, Infrastructure, Systems or Security Architecture.Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems integration, technology strategy and governance.Experience developing architecture standards, governance frameworks and technology roadmaps.Proven experience reviewing and assuring technical designs and architectures.Strong understanding of architectural risk, technical trade-offs and technical assurance.Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.Experience in government, defence, security, regulated or critical infrastructure environments is highly advantageous.A Level 6 qualification in a relevant STEM discipline, or equivalent professional experience.Relevant professional membership or equivalent professional standing.Current DV clearance is required; candidates without it must be willing and eligible to undergo the clearance process. Responsibilities: Lead the Technology & Architecture workstream, defining and governing enterprise architecture across a complex portfolio of systems and secure environments.Define architecture principles, standards, reference architectures and integration patterns.Develop target-state architectures and technology roadmaps.Provide architecture governance, assurance and design authority.Review and challenge solution architectures and technical designs.Identify and manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt.Ensure solutions adopt a security-by-design approach.Provide architectural input into technology investment and procurement decisions.Work closely with senior technical, business, operational and security stakeholders.Present architectural recommendations to governance boards and programme leadership.Provide technical leadership and guidance to architects and technical specialists. We are recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for a senior Enterprise Architect to support a major capability development and transition programme. The role provides strategic architectural leadership across technology, infrastructure, security and information, helping ensure solutions are secure, resilient, sustainable and aligned with organisational objectives. This is an 18-month contract based in Milton Keynes, with hybrid working, paying £600 per day inside IR35.
