Requirements: Significant commercial experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot microservices, Spring Security and OAuth 2.0, React and Next.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, Node.js 18/22, OpenShift, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Jenkins pipelines, and GitLab CI/CD.Experience building modern responsive web applications, designing and integrating APIs, and working with event-driven and service-oriented architectures.Experience with Test-Driven Development, pair programming, Consumer-Driven Contract Testing, Agile delivery, DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and cloud monitoring/observability tools such as Grafana and Kibana/OpenSearch.Experience with code quality and software reliability tooling, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and modernising enterprise legacy applications.Desirable knowledge of Scottish Land Registration processes, Playwright, TypeScript, Python 2.7/3.x, SonarQube, Renovate, AWS S3, Aurora PostgreSQL, and software vulnerability management. Responsibilities: Develop and support modern software solutions using Java, Spring Boot and React.Enhance automation and digital case management tooling.Build secure REST APIs and event-driven microservices.Develop responsive web applications using React and Next.js.Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.Design and implement scalable technical solutions aligned to Digital First and GDS standards.Build reusable UI components and maintain design systems.Develop automated testing using TDD, Playwright and Consumer-Driven Contract Testing.Troubleshoot issues across cloud-native platforms and legacy environments.Participate in code reviews, pair programming, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.Coach and mentor team members where appropriate.
