About our Pharmacy Service https://esneft.pagetiger.com/csusdpr/1

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to consolidate our friendly Pharmacy team here at ESNEFT. Career progression of the current post holder has released this key position to allow a committed and self-motivated Pharmacist to join our Oncology and Haematology service; being based within the Woolverstone centre at Ipswich Hospital but with the expectation of cross site collaboration with colleagues at Colchester Hospital.

You will be a fully established member of the multi-disciplinary team and will be pivotal in the maintenance, and developing of, our clinical services within the speciality.

Our friendly pharmacy team are dedicated to nurturing, mentoring and developing our staff to reach their full potential. We provide pharmacy forums, tutorials and weekly ICS/ESNEFT delivered educational workshops. We support personal development plans, smart objective setting and opportunities for study.

ESNEFT has recently implemented the Epic Electronic Patient Record system and this is now fully embedded into Trust practice.

In addition to our fully automated dispensaries, Pharmacy hosts one of the NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service medicines advice sites and a Regional Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit (including a new Aseptic facility).

Main duties of the job

Provide highly specialised clinical pharmacy services to the Oncology & Haematology Clinical Delivery Group; this includes the Ipswich site's Chemotherapy and Haematology suite, in-patient ward and out-patient clinics. Proactively contribute to the cross-site ESNEFT Clinical Delivery Group agenda. Develop the clinical pharmacy service within specified tumour types. Develop clinical guidelines and protocols for the use of medicines within the speciality. Contribute to the provision of the Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) preparation service by validating and final checking SACT prescriptions.
