Job summary
Are you an experienced and compassionate leader with a passion for delivering outstanding mental health care for older people? We are seeking a motivated Clinical Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership across our Older People's Mental Health Services.
In this key role, you will provide visible leadership, clinical expertise and operational oversight to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care. You will support and develop staff while fostering a positive culture where colleagues feel empowered to deliver their best.
As Clinical Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of Older People's Mental Health Services, excluding Bracken Ward. Working closely with colleagues and partner organisations, you will help develop innovative clinical pathways that improve outcomes and experiences for patients and their families.
You will champion collaboration, continuous improvement and shared decision-making, ensuring patients, carers and relatives are actively involved in care and treatment decisions.

You will be committed to delivering high-quality care, leading teams through change and ensuring services remain responsive to the needs of local communities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will, in conjunction with senior management: be accountable for the delivery of Older People's Mental Health Services within a defined portfolio:
o Older People's Community Mental Health Teamso Dementia Assessment Unit (DAU)o Older People's Response Team (OPR Team)
The portfolio of services may be subject to change within the future as determined by the Trust senior management team.
? Manage, maintain, monitor and facilitate the delivery of a high quality service in the most efficient and effective manner within existing constraints and within the parameters set out within the contracting agreement between the Trust and its commissioning bodies.? Deliver high quality services to provide assurance that services meet the appropriate internal and national quality standards and appropriate clinical governance arrangements are implemented to promote best practice.? Undertake an active role in the Foundation Trust ensuring services can demonstrate continuous improvement in both quality and cost efficiency.? In conjunction with senior management support the development of the Trust's corporate planning cycles and aspirations and service development opportunities within defined portfolio.? To be the responsible clinical manager for Older People's Mental Health Services within defined areas of responsibility across the Trust.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Registered Mental Health Nurse with current professional registration Significant experience of managing mental health services at team leader/manager level. Post-graduate level education in a specialist area or equivalent experience.
Desirable
Leadership qualification/training.
Experience Essential
Experience and knowledge of working in and managing in a multi disciplinary team setting with a mental health setting. Experience in the management of staff within performance frameworks. Experience of developing innovative practice in teams or services. Experience of supporting the implementation of service developments and reconfiguration. Be able to take a lead in crisis situations within clinical areas eg community settings.
