Job summary

Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Temporary Housekeeping Assistant to join our team based at Ty Gobaith in Conwy. You will join us on a Temporary 3-Month basis, working 37.5 hours per week. In return, our Housekeeping Assistant will receive a competitive rate of £24,786 - £25,281 per annum.

Main duties of the job

Housekeeping Assistant role:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at our Hospice in Conwy.

In this important role, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where children, families feel comfortable and supported. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Hospice, following infection prevention and control procedures and organisational standards.

We're looking for someone with excellent cleaning skills, a keen eye for detail, and a flexible, proactive approach. You'll be able to manage changing priorities and take pride in delivering a high-quality service. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes rotational weekend working. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Given the rural location, own transport would be essential.

What we are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant who:

To closely work alongside Care Team colleagues in the delivery of support to users and their families Adopt a flexible approach to your daily duties as necessary, providing a seamless support service to the hospice Ensure infection control measures are followed meticulously Work positively and methodically as part of a small hospitality team To provide a hygienic environment in which users and their families feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay
