Job summary
Hope House Childrens Hospices have an opportunity for Nurse to join our team based in Ty Gobaith Childrens Hospice, Conwy. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be required to work 12.5-hour shifts both days and nights within this role. In return, our Nurse will receive a competitive rate of £31,826 - £38,742 per annum (dependant on experience). Unsociable and weekend enhancements apply.
Main duties of the job
Hope House Childrens Hospice has an exciting opportunity for a registered Nurse (Childrens Nurses or Adult Nurses (RN) with paediatric experience) to join our care team to provide excellent specialist palliative and end of life care to children and young people.
If you are a qualified nurse with a minimum of 1 years experience looking for a new challenge, with a passion for palliative care, we are committed to the development of our employees and will offer you a comprehensive training package. You will continue to develop your knowledge and clinical skills enabling you to deliver the highest standards of care, which supports our values and purpose. As a valued member of our team, you will be providing care to children and young people who have been diagnosed with a life limiting and life threatening condition. You will have the compassion and communication skills to put the needs of the child and their family at the heart of everything you do, so that we are able to provide the right care and support for them, when they need us most.

Here at Hope House Childrens Hospices our vision is to ensure that children affected by conditions so serious that they are not expected to reach early adulthood enjoy with their families the best quality of life with access to specialist care and bereavement support when they need it.
Your role as a Nurse is to participate in the delivery of our Care Strategy, which looks to expand the delivery of safe, caring, responsive, effective and well led childrens palliative care in our hospices and communities.
Your duties will be to deliver and ensure a high standard of care in response to the children and young people's needs, whilst developing your shift leadership experience and coaching of junior staff.
You will be flexible in your approach to work, willing to travel in our local communities and have a background in childrens nursing. The ability to communicate in the Welsh language would also be an advantage.

An understanding of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and childrens palliative care. An up to date understanding of the health, community and social care sectors. A working knowledge of consent, GDPR and confidentiality management, Caldicott Principles and Duty of Candour. A working knowledge of the principles and implementation of Safeguarding processes and procedures
