Remote Credentialing Coordinator Remote | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time | $19.50/hourAre you confident on the phone, highly organized, and skilled at building relationships? We are seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to support the onboarding and maintenance of healthcare practitioners within a national provider network. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys outreach, follow-up, and guiding individuals through detailed processes while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.This is a remote, temporary-to-hire opportunity, with the goal of transitioning successful employees into full-time positions. What You'll Do
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with healthcare providers and practitioner offices throughout the credentialing process. • Conduct outbound calls to providers and office staff to obtain required credentialing documentation and successfully move practitioners through the onboarding process. • Explain the importance and value of completing credentialing requirements and encourage providers to remain engaged throughout the process. • Initiate, track, and follow up on credentialing applications, supporting documents, and verification requirements. • Create and maintain accurate practitioner records within multiple databases and systems. • Perform quality reviews of credentialing files and ensure compliance with company and industry standards. • Communicate regularly with providers, healthcare facilities, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and answer questions. • Support recredentialing activities, practitioner monitoring, and ongoing record maintenance. • Handle inbound phone inquiries from provider offices and maintain professionalism while working within phone queues. What We're Looking For
• Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, provider relations, account management, collections, sales, recruiting, or a similar role requiring heavy outbound communication. • Strong phone presence and comfort making outbound calls throughout the day. This is a required part of the role. • Ability to influence and persuade others through professional and consultative conversations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage electronic records accurately. • Experience working with databases, Microsoft Office, and multiple systems simultaneously. • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Healthcare credentialing experience is a plus, but it is not required. • 100% Remote • Monday-Friday • Standard schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time • Candidates may reside anywhere within the United States but must be available to work Central Time hours. • Occasional overtime may become available based on business needs and performance. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Columbia, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
