CAD EngineerPosition SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Engineer to support the design anddelivery of low-voltage systems projects. This individual will be responsiblefor developing and maintaining engineering documentation, shop drawings, systemlayouts, submittal packages, bills of materials, and as-built documentation.The ideal candidate has experience working with construction drawings,low-voltage systems, and cross-functional project teams in a fast-pacedenvironment.Key Responsibilities
• Create and maintain shop drawings, system layouts, installation documentation, and as-built drawings. • Develop bills of materials, submittal packages, and project documentation based on customer requirements and project specifications. • Review construction plans, specifications, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Collaborate with Project Managers, Sales, Operations, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle. • Manage drawing revisions and maintain document control using customer markups and field updates. • Provide engineering support for project modifications and change orders. • Coordinate with external engineering partners and subcontracted resources when required. • Conduct site visits as needed to verify field conditions and support project execution. • Assist with technical reviews, system layouts, and project planning activities. • Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within established project timelines. Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in CAD drafting, design, or engineering. • Experience supporting low-voltage systems such as security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, voice/data, or related technologies preferred. • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements
• Ability to visit construction sites as needed. • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Ability to navigate active construction environments, including stairs and ladders. • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
