About this role

TEKsystems has a contract role for an Intergration Developer supporting a ERP implementation project. Our client is replacing its current ERP with Infor LN. Interface build and testing are under way from October 2026, with go-live targeted for July 2027.The program includes integrations between Infor LN and the following third-party systems: Various SAAS applications. The primary vendor partner will build and tests the LN side, but our client owns the other side: third-party configuration or build, test environments, connectivity, credentials and end-to-end testing. The Business Systems team designs, prepares and builds, with one engineer on integration, but build and test need a second integration engineer.Role SummaryYou are one of two hands-on integration engineers on the client side, from validating Infors technical specifications, through build, connectivity, testing and go-live support. You own the non-LN build and configuration (API configuration and authentication, middleware and connector configuration, file interfaces, scripts and test automation), the test environments, the connectivity between LN and each third-party system, and the tests that prove each integration works. Salesforce is administered in-house; for the two on-premises systems the vendors' professional services may be engaged for their side, in which case you coordinate and test that work. The first priority is proven connectivity for the complex integrations in test environments, followed by unit testing of the standard ones. This is a systems-integration role, not an application development role: the craft is making an ERP and its surrounding systems talk, and proving it, on a live implementation.Responsibilities Review Infor's technical specifications (TAR-040) from the third-party side: mappings, keys, error handling, feasibility Build and configure the third-party side: Salesforce with the Salesforce administrator, API and file interfaces for cloud vendors, vendor professional services for on-premises systems Obtain and configure vendor test environments, credentials and service accounts; keep the inventory; maintain environment-specific endpoints, credentials and configuration across Infor's test, training and production tenants and each vendor's equivalent; keep the per-integration readiness record current Prove each LN to third-party connection early in the test landscape; work with client infrastructure on network and security for on-premises systems Trace failures across LN, middleware, network and third-party systems using API responses, logs, message queues, SQL and vendor diagnostics; own the fix or the escalation Write and execute unit and end-to-end integration tests with process owners; load test data with the data migration team; log and chase defects with Infor Support deployment through Infor's environments to production, cutover checks and hypercare Document a hand-over note per integrationExperience, Knowledge and Skills:Required: 5+ years of hands-on integration engineering between business systems: building, connecting and testing REST API integration (OAuth, API keys, payloads, error handling) and file-based integration (flat file, XML, SFTP) Setting up and running integration tests: environments, test data, defect tracking with a vendor team Reading technical specifications critically; working with vendors to obtain documentation, sandboxes and support An ERP implementation or major upgrade taken through go-liveStrongly valued: Manufacturing or distribution experience: shop floor, warehouse, shipping, order-to-cash An integration platform: Infor ION and its API Gateway especially valuable; Boomi, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services or comparable Salesforce integration (Apex development is not expected; useful if you have it); exposure of on-premises systems to cloud applications Automates what repeats: builds Postman or similar collections and runs them unattended; scripts test data setup and result comparison (Python, PowerShell or similar); generates and validates test files against schemas; reads integration logs and message queues to find where a transaction died; checks what actually landed with SQL. Comfortable on a small client-side team next to a larger vendor team; documents as a habit; direct about what does not work. Drives technical issues with vendors and implementation partners to resolution without waiting to be asked.Working RelationshipsReports to the Technical Delivery Architect, who reports to the Transformation Director. Joins a small team of builders: an Enterprise Applications Engineer close to full time on integration and a Business Systems Analyst part of the time, both of whom design, prepare and build and continue to support IFS. Works daily with Infor's integration architect and functional consultants, client's Salesforce administrator, process owners, vendor professional services and client infrastructure. Will start as a 6-month contract with the expectation of extension through go-live (July 2027) and hypercare.
