Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionThis role supports a small, specialized production team by assisting with the assembly and packaging of bullet products on a clean, organized production floor. You will help operate and support machinery, move materials between stations, document production runs, and perform a variety of general production tasks as needed to keep the operation running smoothly. Responsibilities • Support the production team on the manufacturing floor as a general helper throughout the bullet assembly process. • Load machines with materials and components according to established procedures and safety guidelines. • Move 26-pound bins of materials or finished goods between different production stations as needed. • Package finished products accurately and efficiently, following defined packaging standards and instructions. • Document production runs clearly and accurately, including counts, basic production data, and any relevant notes. • Perform basic inspection of products and materials to help identify obvious defects or issues before packaging. • Assist with general machine operation tasks under supervision, such as feeding materials and monitoring basic machine functions. • Operate a sit-down forklift, if qualified, to move materials and products safely around the production area. • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment provided by the facility. • Maintain a clean, organized work area by assisting with routine housekeeping and organization tasks. • Complete ad-hoc tasks and additional duties as requested by management to support daily production needs. Essential Skills • Experience working in any manufacturing environment for at least 3+ months. • Ability to lift and safely move 26-pound bins repeatedly throughout the shift. • General production and general labor experience, including working on a production floor. • Packaging experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. • Basic documentation skills to record production runs and related information accurately. • Ability to perform basic inspection tasks to identify visible product issues. • Willingness and ability to perform machine operation support tasks under guidance. • Sit-down forklift experience and capability to operate a forklift safely, where required. • Firearm license, as required for working with bullet manufacturing processes. • Reliability, punctuality, and consistency in a part-time schedule that may grow to full-time based on performance. • Comfort working in a small team environment and following direction from management. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in ammunition, bullet manufacturing, or related industries. • Comfort working with specialized products and subject matter related to defense and military initiatives. • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a small, growing production environment. • Strong attention to detail in packaging, documentation, and basic product inspection. • Willingness to learn additional production processes and equipment as the facility expands. Work EnvironmentYou will work on a 6-person production floor in a clean, organized manufacturing facility. The facility operates daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and this position starts as a part-time role of approximately 47 hours per day, totaling roughly 2025 hours per week, with the schedule negotiated with management and the potential to grow into a full-time position based on aptitude and performance. Management may occasionally communicate or problem-solve in Mandarin, reflecting a diverse leadership team. The work involves standing, moving materials, and operating or supporting machinery in a production setting, with sit-down forklift use where applicable. Personal protective equipment is provided by the facility, and you are expected to wear and use it as required while working on the production floor. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
