Job Title: Machinist (Weekend Shift)Job DescriptionThis weekend-shift machinist role is based on the machine shop floor, working alongside a small team of experienced machinists to hollow out metal bars to precise diameters for use in medical device production. You work largely autonomously on CNC and grinding equipment, with regular check-ins from supervision to ensure quality, safety, and throughput. The position follows a compressed weekend schedule, allowing you to focus on production over three days while contributing to a specialized, precision-focused operation.Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, milling equipment, lathes, grinders, and other machining tools to hollow out metal bars to specified diameters for medical device applications. • Set up and run centerless grinding, milling, 5-axis, and related machines as needed to meet production requirements. • Work independently on the machine shop floor while coordinating with supervisors during periodic check-ins to review work progress and quality. • Interpret measurements and use appropriate measuring tools to verify that parts meet dimensional and tolerance specifications. • Monitor machine performance, make routine adjustments, and perform basic troubleshooting to maintain consistent production quality. • Follow established machining processes, work instructions, and safety procedures throughout all operations. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of tooling, fixtures, and materials. • Collaborate with fellow machinists on both first and second shifts to support production goals and share best practices. • Complete production runs within the scheduled weekend shift hours while meeting quality, efficiency, and output targets. • Communicate any equipment, tooling, or process issues to supervision in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of experience operating machining equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, lathes, grinders, or centerless grinding machines. • Hands-on experience with CNC machining, including basic setup, operation, and adjustment of CNC equipment. • Proficiency with centerless grinding, milling, 5-axis machining, or related grinding machines used in precision manufacturing. • Ability to use measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances. • Solid math skills to interpret measurements, dimensions, and machining parameters. • as a CNC machinist, milling machinist, grinder operator, or similar machining role. • Capability to work autonomously on the shop floor while adhering to production schedules and quality standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of tooling requirements and machine setup is preferred. • Experience with centerless grinding is a strong plus. • Prior experience in precision manufacturing or medical device-related machining environments is beneficial. • Comfort working with multiple types of machining equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and 5-axis machines. The position follows a weekend shift schedule of Friday through Sunday on a 3x12 format, with typical hours of either 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You work on the shop floor alongside a small group of machinists across first and second shifts, using CNC machines, mills, lathes, grinders, and centerless grinding equipment to produce precision components Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Boston, NH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
