Job Title: Sheet Metal ForemanJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to join our team for a 2-3 month long project, with potential for a long-term opportunity. The project involves new construction and fit-out for a 32-unit multi-family building along with a common area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing duct systems, air handlers, ventilation components, and ensuring HVAC systems meet quality and energy-efficiency standards through proper sealing, caulking, and duct leakage testing. Responsibilities • Install sheet metal ductwork, flex duct, dampers, registers, grilles, and ventilation systems. • Set and install air handlers, fan coils, exhaust fans, and related HVAC equipment. • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and HVAC layouts. • Seal ductwork using mastic, caulking, tape, and other approved methods to meet code requirements. • Perform duct leakage testing and assist with balancing and commissioning activities. • Identify and repair air leaks in duct systems. • Ensure all installations meet local building codes and project specifications. • Measure, cut, assemble, and hang duct systems safely and accurately. • Coordinate with foreman, project superintendent, and other trades on active construction sites. • Maintain job site cleanliness and safety standards. Essential Skills • 5+ years of HVAC installation or sheet metal experience. • Experience installing ductwork and air handlers in residential or multifamily construction. • Ability to read blueprints and HVAC plans. • Knowledge of duct sealing methods, airflow principles, and HVAC installation best practices. • Experience performing or assisting with duct leakage testing. • Ownership of basic hand and power tools. • Reliable transportation and ability to work on active construction sites. Additional Skills & Qualifications • EPA Certification. • OSHA10/OSHA30 Certification. • Experience with Energy Star, HERS, or multifamily energy-efficiency standards. • Experience with startup and commissioning of HVAC systems. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Exton, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
