Job Title: Electrical AssemblerJob DescriptionThe Electrical Assembler builds, wires, and tests electrical systems within chiller units in accordance with engineering specifications, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions. This role ensures the safe and precise installation and integration of components such as control panels, motors, sensors, and highvoltage wiring. By upholding product quality, meeting safety requirements, and supporting efficient production, the Electrical Assembler contributes directly to the reliable performance of advanced refrigeration equipment. Responsibilities • Perform complete electrical wiring of chiller units from scratch, including routing, cutting, stripping, and terminating wires. • Install and connect electrical components such as contactors, relays, sensors, motors, and control panels within chiller units. • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate assembly and connections. • Handle and work with a range of cable sizes, including 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG DLO cable, following proper safety and installation practices. • Conduct basic voltage tests and use electrical testing equipment to verify system functionality and safety. • Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues, using knowledge of component functions and system behavior to identify and resolve problems. • Ensure all electrical work aligns with engineering specifications, safety standards, and detailed work instructions. • Support efficient production by organizing work materials, maintaining a clean work area, and following established assembly processes. • Lift and move components and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds as part of the assembly and installation process. • Contribute to overall product quality by performing precise wiring, secure terminations, and thorough testing of electrical systems. Essential Skills • At least 4 years of hands-on electrical assembly experience. • Strong proficiency in electrical fundamentals and basic electrical theory. • Ability to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. • Experience handling and installing cables from 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG DLO cable. • Basic knowledge of voltage testing methods and the ability to perform volt tests safely. • Ability to discuss and apply basic troubleshooting concepts for electrical systems. • Understanding of electrical component functions and their appropriate uses within a system. • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly in a production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • HVAC experience is preferred and beneficial for working with chiller units. • Ability to understand the purpose and application of various electrical components within complex systems. • Comfort working in a production environment with advanced refrigeration and chiller equipment. • Willingness to participate in training, including potential travel for skill development and advancement opportunities. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a production facility focused on assembling and testing advanced refrigeration and chiller equipment. The standard schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing a consistent workweek and extended weekends. The environment involves working with electrical components, high-voltage wiring, and large cables, requiring adherence to safety practices and proper use of tools and test equipment. Employees work in a hands-on, manufacturing setting where physical activity, including lifting up to 75 pounds, is part of daily tasks. Work uniforms are provided, and a yearly safety boot allowance supports appropriate attire and personal protective equipment for the facility. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
